The Washington Hospital Center base, also known as MedSTAR 1, is located in Washington, DC. It is operated 12 hours a day with the MedSTAR normal configuration of a pilot and nurse/paramedic team.

This base is available to support customers in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania.

The staff at the Washington Hospital Center base actively participates in numerous outreach and educational programs in their service area. These programs include helicopter safety, landing zone operations for pre-hospital providers and critical care education for our hospital-based customers.
